Al Quwwat Al Jawwiya Al Iraqiya. Iraqi Air Force
No.44 Squadron. Wahda AB, April 1988
Model: Su-22M-3K
Serial: s/n 2026
Most of Su-22M-3Ks and Su-22M-4Ks that entered service with IrAF were delivered painted in this camouflage pattern of dark brown and dark olive green over. The plane is depicted carrying the maximal load six FAB-500M-62 “iron” bombs. Also shown is the insignia of excellence: a small shield in Iraqi national colours, with title “IRAQ” in Arabic and Latin characters, outlined in yellow and white. Only units decorated for their combat- or maintenance-performance were permitted to apply this on their aircraft.
